AI Visibility

Momentum & Compounding: Is Your AI Visibility Actually Growing?

Read the Momentum card on the Alignment tab — it puts AI presence next to branded search and direct traffic to show whether your visibility is compounding, and recommends one next play.

Appearing in AI answers only matters if it turns into demand. The Momentum card — at the top of the Alignment tab in Brand Alignment — answers the question "is anything compounding?" by putting your discoverability and your demand side by side over time, then telling you the single best next move.

Where to find it

Open Brand Alignment, then the Alignment tab (the third tab). The Momentum card sits above your alignment score and fixes. It is computed automatically from your data and refreshed roughly every 6 hours.

The three signals

Each signal compares the last 90 days against the prior 90 days and shows the current value, the percentage change, and a direction (rising, flat, or declining).
  • AI presence — how often AI engines mention your brand across your tracked prompts. This is your discoverability signal and is always measured automatically from your tracked answers.
  • Branded search — clicks on queries that contain your brand name, from Google Search Console. A demand signal: people deliberately looking for you.
  • Direct traffic — direct sessions from Google Analytics 4. A demand signal: people arriving without another channel in between.
Branded search and direct traffic are combined into a single demand direction. When discoverability and demand both rise, your visibility is compounding.
Based on how strong your AI presence is, which way demand is moving, and whether you have open interpretation findings (wrong category, wrong competitors, or missing attributes), Reaudit surfaces exactly one play to focus on next.
  • Invest upstream — AI rarely surfaces you in your category, so the top of the funnel is empty. Build category-level presence (comparison and use-case content, third-party coverage). If demand is already rising while presence is weak, treat this as urgent — the discoverability lag usually closes within months.
  • Fix the narrative — AI finds you but describes you inaccurately or next to the wrong peers. Correct category, competitors, attributes, and sentiment before spending more to drive demand.
  • Build proof — you are present and well understood, but demand is not compounding (flat or softening). Build reviews, share of voice, and word of mouth to restart the loop.
  • Compounding — present, understood, and demand is growing on its own. The system is working without being pushed — keep investing in what is building.
  • Connect your data — not enough signal yet. Track your category prompts and connect Search Console + GA4 so the diagnostic has both halves to compare.

Connect GSC + GA4 to unlock demand

  1. 1Go to Dashboard → GA4 & Search Console (the integrations page).
  2. 2Connect Google Analytics 4 to add direct-traffic sessions.
  3. 3Enable Google Search Console on the same connection to add branded-search clicks.
  4. 4Return to Brand Alignment → Alignment tab. Within the next refresh the branded-search and direct-traffic rows fill in and the play sharpens.

Why is my Momentum card missing or showing "Connect your data"?

The card only appears once there is something to compare: tracked AI answers from the last ~180 days, or a connected demand source. If a project has no tracked prompts and neither GSC nor GA4 is connected, the card stays hidden. Add prompts and/or connect your analytics, then reload after the next refresh.

Pair it with the attributes you want to own

On the "What’s actually true" tab you can pick the attributes you want AI to associate with you. Any attribute AI does not yet evidence becomes a finding with a fix — which is often what flips a "Fix the narrative" play back to "Compounding".
