Engage Online has three separate billing lanes: (1) AI citations in Mentions — always free with your subscription; (2) Keyword mention search — credits when you add keywords and scans find new posts; (3) Reply drafts — 1 credit per generation (same as AI Sources).
AI citations (free)
Threads already cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other engines for your tracked prompts appear in Mentions with an AI citation badge. Browsing, filtering, and opening these items never burns credits.
Keyword mention search (credits)
- Adding a keyword runs an initial scan across your selected sources (X, Reddit, YouTube, HN, LinkedIn)
- Each new keyword match ingested costs 0.03 credits (~33 mentions per credit)
- Free trial — 10 keyword mentions included to try the feature; paid plans have no included keyword mentions
- Re-scans that update an existing post do not charge again
Reply drafts (1 credit)
Click Generate in the mention detail panel to draft a KB-grounded reply. This uses the same 1 credit charge as AI Sources / Reddit Monitor reply generation. Loading an existing draft is free.

Cost control tips
Pause keywords you no longer need, use exclude terms to reduce noise, and scan fewer sources per keyword. Updated mentions from repeat scans are free — only net-new posts count toward your monthly total.
