Gap Intelligence
Understand how visibility gaps are detected and turned into ad opportunities.
Gap Intelligence automatically analyzes your prompt tracking data to find queries where your brand is missing, underperforming, or being dominated by competitors in AI responses. Each gap is a potential paid advertising opportunity.
Gap Types
- Absent — Your brand is never mentioned in AI responses for this query. Severity: 90–100
- Underperforming — Your brand appears in less than 30% of responses. Severity: 40–70
- Competitor Dominant — A competitor has over 50% visibility while you're below 30%. Severity: 50–80
- Geographic — Your brand is missing in specific regions or languages
How Gaps Are Detected
- 1The system collects AI responses from your tracked prompts (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.)
- 2For each prompt, it calculates what percentage of responses mention your brand
- 3It compares your visibility against competitors configured in your project
- 4Queries where you fall below thresholds are flagged as gaps
- 5Detection runs automatically daily, or you can trigger it manually with "Run Gap Analysis"
Running a Manual Gap Analysis
Click the "Run Gap Analysis" button in the filter bar (or in the empty state) to trigger an immediate scan. This analyzes the last 30 days of your prompt tracking data.
Requires Prompt Tracking
Gap detection depends on having AI answer data from your tracked prompts. If you see zero gaps, make sure you have active prompts being tracked in the AI Visibility section. The system needs at least a few days of tracking data to detect meaningful gaps.
