Brand rules: how agents should write for you

Plain-language guidance every agent reads before writing for a project, written by you or learned from feedback. Brand rules guide; they never flag or block anything.

Brand rules are short instructions such as “Write in British English”, “Call it a platform, never a tool” or “Never promise delivery dates”. Every agent reads them before it writes for the project.

Add and edit them

  • In Project settings → Guardrails → Brand rules: Add rule, type it, and press Save guardrails.
  • From feedback: lessons saved from Learn from feedback appear here marked Learned.
  • By asking an agent: “add a brand rule: never use exclamation marks”. Agents change guardrails only when you ask and only as far as the project’s “What agents may change” setting allows (adding a brand rule makes the rules stricter, so it is always allowed when agents may change anything).

Guidance, not a check

Unlike banned phrases and disclosures, brand rules are never checked or flagged and never block publishing. For something that must never appear, use a banned phrase in [Guardrails](/dashboard/help?article=agent-guardrails).
